It’s the Little Things.

Hi! Welcome back to my blog! I didn’t write last week because I was gone for Thanksgiving break!

Since I missed Thursday I think it is appropriate to write a post about the things I am thankful for. This year more than any other year in my life I have noticed how gracious others are. It’s the tiny things in my life that I am thankful for this year. I have learned this year that there is so much for me to be thankful for! Even when I think my world is falling apart, there is so much in my life that I don’t deserve!

Similar to every year, I am thankful for a roof over my head, food, friends. family and Jesus Christ dying on the cross. But this year I am also thankful sunsets and sunrises, school, work, a bed, and other people in my life who show me Christs love. I think sometimes we tend to be thankful for the big or obvious things in our life but forget to be thankful for the little things. Most people would not say school is there favorite thing in the world but boy am I thankful for  an education! Even though I may dislike something, I am thankful for what it gives or teaches me! This year I encourage you to dig deep and be thankful the little things in your life because in the end the little things are the big things!

Thank you so much for reading! New blog post will be up on Thursday!

First World Problems.

Hi there! Thanks for returning to my blog! Today I will be talking about first world problems and how they are effecting our lives.

Before I start getting into the deep stuff on this blog post I want to give some real life examples of first world problems. (because they are funny).

1) The “a” letter on my keyboard is broken so I have to press it extra hard or it will not work. Since I have to press the button so hard my finger begins to hurt.

2) My hand does not fit in the Pringles can.

3) My mom won’t let me get the iPhone 6 so I have to have the iPhone 5s.

So after reading these examples didn’t your roll your eyes at them? Like, that is what teenagers today are complaining about. Wow, that must be the real struggle. After reading those examples of first world problems the one thing missing in all those examples is gratitude. Instead of complaining we should be thankful for the things that we have. If we changed every negative comment to a positive one, do you now how much society would change? We would be no longer sitting around complaining about how “rough” we have it. Instead we would be thankful and understand how blessed we are. So I encourage you to stop complaining and be happy with what you have! No one wants to be remembered as the girl who sat around and complained about everything! Instead, live your life with joy and constantly thank God for all that you have in your life. Be thankful!!

Thank you for reading! I will be in Gulf Shores for  a week starting on Saturday so if I have time in the next few days I will write drafts and schedule them so you will still be able to read my blog while I am on a vacation!  Once again, thanks for reading!

10 Things I Forgot to Thank My Dad For When I Was a Kid

Hi!  I am so happy that you decided to stop by! So as most of you may know, Father’s day will be here before we know it! Well okay, Father’s day isn’t till June 21st but still it’s almost here! Anyways in honor of this occasion quickly approaching I decided to take a moment to write down 10 things that I (and quite possibly you also you) forgot to thank my dad for. I am not talking about thanking my dad for buying dinner or driving me someplace I am talking about the things that he does for me that  meant a lot to me but I simply forgot to thank him for it when you were younger. So let’s get started.

1) I don’t get it. Thank you Dad for always stopping what you were doing to help me with my homework. You helped me with problems that you didn’t even know the answer to. You would spend hours of your time making sure I understood something if that is what it took.

2) Amen. Thank you for tucking me in bed every single night when I was a kid and praying with me before I went to bed.

3) All those movies. Thank you for enduring all those movies you hated so much but still watched them with me just so you could spend more time with me.

4) Ice Cream. Thank you for making up stories that always brought a smile to my face. There was a point in my life where I really did think you were the inventor of ice cream and I know that even to this day you will still claim you are.

5) Making me laugh. Thank you for ALWAYS making me laugh, it never failed to make my day 100% better.

6) M&Ms. Thank you for taking care of me when I was sick and giving me m&ms when I had a stomach ache because you and I both knew that it was “secret medicine”.

7) Raising me right. Thank you for being a great example for me and teaching me how to live a life for Christ and not for myself.

8) Bike rides. Thank you for choosing to spend time with me every chance you got and going on long adventurous bike rides with me.

9) Choices. Thank you for always encouraging me to be independent and make my own choices as well as to accept the consequences for all of my actions.

10) Being My Best Buddy. Thank you for not only being my Dad but also being my best friend that I know I can turn to for anything. I love you.
